Xyrichtys wellingtoni, the Clipperton razorfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish from the family Labridae, the wrasses. Found in the Eastern Central Pacific Ocean.^[1]

This species reaches a length of 7.2 cm (2.8 in).^[2]

Etymology

The fish is named in honor of marine biologist Gerard M. Wellington of the University of Houston. It was he who assisted with the collection of the type specimens. ^[3]

Xyrichtys wellingtoni is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van lipvissen (Labridae).^[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1995 door Allen & Robertson.

De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als Kwetsbaar, beoordelingsjaar 2007.^[1]

威氏連鰭唇魚，為輻鰭魚綱鱸形目隆頭魚亞目隆頭魚科的其中一種，被IUCN列為易危保育類動物，分布於中東太平洋的克利珀頓島海域，棲息深度18-20公尺，體長可達7.2公分，棲息在沙底質海域，生活習性不明。
