Metastachydium is a genus of flowering plant in the family Lamiaceae, first described with this name in 1977. It contains only one known species, Metastachydium sagittatum, native to central Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Xinjiang).[1][2]

Metastachydium es un género monotípico de plantas con flores perteneciente a la familia Lamiaceae.[1] Su única especie: Metastachydium sagittatum (Regel) C.Y.Wu & H.W.Li, es originaria del centro de Asia.
Es una planta herbácea perennifolia, rizomatosa. Las hojas son sagitadas, con la base fuertemente cordada, el envés peludo, el margen toscamente crenado. Las inflorescencias en espigas alargadas. Cáliz tubular. Corola violeta, con dos labios.[2]
Se distribuye por China y Kirguistán.
Metastachydium sagittatum fue descrito por Airy Shaw ex C.Y.Wu & H.W.Li y publicado en Acta Phytotaxonomica Sinica 13(1): 73. 1975.[3]
