Hyphessobrycon micropterus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de karperzalmen (Characidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1915 door Eigenmann.

小鰭魮脂鯉，為輻鰭魚綱脂鯉目脂鯉亞目脂鯉科的其中一個種，為熱帶淡水魚，分布於南美洲聖弗朗西斯科河流域，體長可達2.7公分，棲息在底中層水域，生活習性不明。
