Hellinsia cristobalis is a moth of the family Pterophoridae. It is found on the Galapagos Islands.[1]
The wingspan is 13–16 millimetres (0.51–0.63 in). The antennae have longitudinal dark brown and white stripes on a basal dark brown ground colour. There are scales on the thorax, these are basally beige, apically greyish brown and white laterally at the apex. The forewings are mostly have basally pale brown and apically darker brown scales, irrorated with pure white scales. The Hindwings and their fringes are greyish brown.[2]
Adults have been recorded in February, November and possibly December.[3]

Su envergadura es de 13 a 16 mm. Las antenas tienen rayas longitudinales de color marrón oscuro y negro en una basal de color marrón oscuro de fondo. Hay escalas de colores en el tórax, éstos son basales de beige, apical marrón grisáceo y blanco lateralmente en el ápice. Las alas delanteras son en su mayoría de basal pálido con color marrón claro y apicalmente con escalas de marrones más oscuros, y pura escala de blancos. Las alas posteriores y sus márgenes son marrón grisáceo.[2]
Los adultos se han avistado en febrero y noviembre.
