Die Cerithioidea sind eine Überfamilie vorwiegend mariner Schnecken aus der Ordnung der Sorbeoconcha. Sie enthält auch mehrere Gruppen von Süßwasserschnecken (z. B. Thiaridae (Kronenschnecken)), die teilweise unabhängig voneinander das Süßwasser vom Meer aus besiedelt haben. Der Fossilbeleg für die Cerithioidea reicht bis in die Kreide zurück.

Merkmale

Mehr oder weniger typisch für Vertreter dieser Gruppe der Caenogastropoda sind eine (zumindest ursprünglich) turmförmige Schale, das Vorhandensein eines Operculums sowie ein zumindest teilweise offener Gonodukt. Alle Arten sind getrenntgeschlechtlich, vereinzelt kommen auch parthenogenetische Arten vor. Die überwiegende Zahl der Cerithioidea ist ovipar, einige Gruppen sind ovovivipar oder vivipar.

Systematik

In der klassischen Systematik werden die Cerithioidea zu den Mesogastropen (Mittelschnecken), eine Ordnung der Prosobranchia (Vorderkiemerschnecken), gestellt. Diese Einteilung gilt als veraltet, da die Mesogastropoden keine monophyletische Gruppe darstellen. In der hier geführten, phylogenetischen Systematik werden die Cerithioidea zu der Ordnung Sorbeoconcha, Unterklasse Orthogastropoda gestellt.

The Cerithioidea is a superfamily of marine, brackish water and freshwater gastropod containing more than 200 genera. The Cerithoidea are included unassigned in the subclass Caenogastropoda. The original name of this superfamily was Cerithiacea, in keeping with common superfamily endings at the time.

Ecology

Cerithioidea is a very diverse superfamily. Its species can be found worldwide mainly in tropic and subtropic seas on rocky intertidal shores, seagrass beds and algal fronds, but also in estuarine and freshwater habitats. The freshwater species are found on all continents, except Antarctica. They are dominant members of mangrove forests, estuarine mudflats, fast-flowing rivers and placid lakes.[3]

Fossil record

Their fossil record of this superfamily can be traced back as far as the early Triassic[1][4] but they began radiating mainly during the Cretaceous.[5]

Taxonomy

The Cerithioidea are presumed to be monophyletic (one lineage).[6] However the phylogenetic relationships between its families are still under investigation because mitochondrial recombinant DNA sequences failed to resolve these questions.

2005 taxonomy

According to the Taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005),[7] the following families are included in Cerithioidea:

It is possible that a further detailed examination may show that the polyphyletic families Melanopsidae and Pleuroceridae are one family. There is also a close phylogenetic relationship between the families Modulidae and Potamididae and between the families Cerithiidae and Litiopidae.

2006 taxonomy

Bandel (2006)[1] made numerous changes in Cerithioidea. He classified superfamily Cerithioidea in the clade Cerithimorpha.[1]

Cerithioidea J. Fleming, 1822 è una superfamiglia di molluschi gasteropodi della sottoclasse Caenogastropoda.[1]

Descrizione

Cerithioidea è una grande superfamiglia di Caenogasteropodi marini, salmastri e d'acqua dolce, che attualmente comprende 22 famiglie recenti, circa 180 generi esistenti e oltre 2.600 specie riconosciute.[2]

Oltre alla loro molteplicità ecologica e ricchezza di specie, i ceritioidi hanno sviluppato una grande diversità anche in molti caratteri morfologici:[3]

I Cerithioidei sono distribuiti in tutto il mondo con la stragrande maggioranza dei taxa nelle regioni tropicali, subtropicali e temperate calde; abitano una varietà di biotopi marini, salmastri e d'acqua dolce, tra cui barriere coralline e praterie di alghe (Cerithiidae, Modulidae, Scaliolidae), coste intertidali rocciosie (Cerithiidae, Planaxidae), fronde di alghe e alghe (Bittiinae, Dialidae, Litiopidae), distese fangose di estuario (Batillariidae), foreste di mangrovie (Potamididae) e fiumi, ruscelli e laghi (Melanopsidae, Pachychilidae, Paludomidae, Pleuroceridae, Semisulcospiridae, Thiaridae). Queste specie sono membri significativi, e a volte dominanti, nelle comunità in cui si trovano, inclusi molti ambienti costieri litorali e limnici ed ecosistemi di acqua dolce in parti dell'Asia e dell'Indo-Pacifico, Africa, Mediterraneo, Sud America e Stati Uniti sudorientali.[4]

Nella classificazione dei Gastropoda di Bouchet e Rocroi del 2017 la superfamiglia Cerithioidea è stata posta, insieme a Campaniloidea in un gruppo non assegnato di Caenogastropoda.[5] Questa collocazione è anche coerente con quanto rilevato nell'analisi morfologica di Ponder et al. del 2008 in cui l'albero filogenetico a consenso rigoroso vede la Cerithioidea e la Campaniloidea come taxa sorelle e Viviparidae come sorella di questo clade + Hypsogastropoda. Nell'albero a regole di maggioranza dell'analisi combinata i Campaniloidea sono fratelli di Cerithioidea + Hypsogastropoda.[6]

生態

分類

蟹守螺超科相信應該是單系群[7],但科與科之間的種系發生學關係仍然在研究中,主要是因為當中的粒線體重組DNA的排序沒有辦法解答這些問題。現時蟹守螺超科有約 1092-1164 個現存物種,約 200 個屬,合共 17 個科[3]

생태학

짜부락고둥상과는 다양성이 매우 높은 상과 중 하나이다. 종들은 거의 모든 전 세계의 열대 및 아열대 바다의 바위로 된 조간대 해안가와 해초지 그리고 해조류 잎에서 발견되지만, 큰 강 어귀와 민물 서식지에서도 발견된다.

민물 종들은 남극을 제외한 모든 대륙에서 발견된다. 맹그로브 숲, 큰 강 어귀 개펄, 유속이 빠른 강과 잔잔한 호수에서 많이 발견되는 종이다.[2]

화석 기록

이 상과의 화석 기록은 트라이아스기 전기까지 거슬러 올라갈 수 있지만, [3][4] 백악기 동안에 주로 번성하기 시작했다.[5]

분류

짜부락고둥상과는 단계통군(하나의 계통군)으로 추정되어 왔다[6] 그러나 짜부락고둥상과에 속하는 과들 사이의 계통 유연관계는 아직 조사중에 있으며, 그 이유는 미토콘드리아 재조합 DNA 염기 서열이 이 문제를 푸는 데 실패했기 때문이다.

2006년 분류

2006년 반델(Bandel)의 분류는[3] 짜부락고둥상과에 많은 변화가 있었다. 짜부락고둥상과를 짜부락고둥류(Cerithimorpha)로 분류했다.[3]

그 변화는 다음과 같다.

  • 짜부락고둥상과 (Cerithioidea)
    • Bittiidae Cossmann, 1906 - 별도의 과로 승격하여 분류. 2005년 부쉐와 로크루아(Bouchet & Rocroi)는 짜부락고둥과(Cerithiidae)에 포함되는 아과로 분류.
    • Maturifusidae - 고복족류에서 짜부락고둥상과로 이동
    • Canterburyellidae - 위치가 불확실한 흡강류에서 짜부락고둥상과로 이동
    • Prisciphoridae - 위치가 불확실한 흡강류에서 짜부락고둥상과로 이동
    • Zardinellopsidae Bandel, 2006 - 새로운 과로 신설
    • Pachymelaniidae - Thiaridae과의 이명에서 별도의 정식 과로 간주.

2009년 분류

2009년 스트롱(Strong)과 쾰러(Köhler)의 분류는 다슬기과(Pleuroceridae)에 포함되었던 아과 Semisulcospirinae를 별도의 과 Semisulcospiridae로 승격했다.[8]
