This species can reach a maximum length of 13 centimetres (5.1 in) TL.[2] This species feeds on marine invertebrates.[3]

Clinus heterodon is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van beschubde slijmvissen (Clinidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1836 door Valenciennes.
