Japananus is a genus of leafhoppers of the subfamily Deltocephalinae. Six species are currently placed in the genus,[2][3] all native to Asia and typically feeding on Acer species. One species, J. hyalinus, has spread throughout the northern hemisphere and Australia with the trade in cultivated maples.[4]

Цикадки размером 4-7 мм. Стройные, с остроугольно выступающим теменем. Исключительно на клёнах. Для СССР указывалось 2 вида.[1][2]
