This bee's nest architecture is described by Sakagami and Michener (1962). From Sakagami and Michener (1962): Nest architecture is Type VI: The main burrow leads to a cavity which surrounds a block of earth in which cells are scattered irregularly. There is no extension of the main burrow below the cavity. Banks are the only known substrate used for nesting. Number of cells in the nest: about 6. Number of females in the nest: 1
