Parnara batangae Holland, 1894b: 92; pi. 3, fig. 10 (Batanga, Cameroon).
Evans (1937: 172) lists specimens from Sierra Leone and the Congo; Carnegie Museum has the type and others from Cameroon. Thus far batangae has not been recorded from Liberia but its presence there is to be expected.

Platylesches batangae, the Batanga hopper, is a butterfly in the family Hesperiidae. It is found in Senegal, the Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Angola, the central part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia and possibly Nigeria.[2]
The larvae feed on Parinari congensis and Parinari polyandra.

Insecten Platylesches batangae is een vlinder uit de familie van de dikkopjes (Hesperiidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1894 door Holland.
