Sylvilagus floridanus (Eastern Cottontail) is a species of mammals in the family Leporidae. They are native to The Nearctic and United States. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 108 months and can grow to 371 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on running to move around.
