Indigofera hirsuta (Roughhairy Indigo) is a species of annual herb in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Maranhao, Pará, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, Sergipe, Roraima, Mato Grosso, Piauí, Bahia, Tocantins, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Ceará, Rio De Janeiro, Pernambuco, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Norte, Alagoas, SãO Paulo, AmazôNia, Caatinga, and ParaíBa. They have compound, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Hemiargus hanno, White-footed Leaf-cutter Bee, and Anthidiellum. Individuals can grow to 5 feet.
