Layia platyglossa (Coastal Tidytips) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Junonia grisea, House fly, Sphaerophoria sulphuripes, and Euphydryas editha.
