Agaonidae sunt familia vesparum ficos pollinantium ficosque frequentantium non pollinantium. Quae larvae intra fructus ficorum degunt. Vespae pollinantes (subfamiliarum Agaoninarum, Kradibiinarum, Tetrapusiinarum) sunt mutualistici arborum Ficorum socii; vespae autem non pollinantes (subfamiliae Sycophaginarum) sunt parasiticae.
