Gymnopus conigenoides (Ellis) Murrill
Agaricus {Collybia) conigenoides Ellis, Bull. Torrey Club 6; 76. 1876. Collybiaconigenoides Sacc. Syll. Fung. 5: 223. 1887.
Pileus thin, fleshy, convex-plane, not umbonate, 2-4 mm. broad; surface minutely pubescent, white to yellowish, margin pellucid-striate : lamellae heterophyllous, free, not crowded, 4^1 1 entire ones, white becoming yellow, pubescent on the edges :*stipe slender, white, radicate, 2.5 cm. long.
Type; locaIvITy: Newfield, New Jersey.
Habitat: On magnolia fruits.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
