D. aneimiae was reported from Mexico to Argentina and the Caribbean on species in the Blechnaceae , Dennstaedtiaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Nephroleptidaceae, Schizaeaceae, Pteridaceae, and Thelypteridaceae (Farr et al. 2004; Hernandez et al. 2005a, b). This is the first report of D. aneimiae from Panama.
