Description: Tagged cutthroat ready for release. A tagged non-native Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout being returned to Red Rock Creek, after being collected in a fish trap on Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, MT. This is the Montana Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office's second year of a five-year study to evaluate the effects of non-native fish removal efforts. These non-native trout are being removed from Red Rock Creek to help ensure that native Arctic Grayling persist into the future. Arctic Grayling inhabiting the Refuge represent one of the last remnant populations within the contiguous United States.
