Desmanthus virgatus (Wild Tantan) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They have a procumbent growth form. They are native to SãO Paulo, Cerrado, Pantanal, The Contiguous United States, ParaíBa, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Bahia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Caatinga, Minas Gerais, Puerto Rico, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have white flowers. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
