Juncus tenuis (Slender Rush) is a species of perennial grass in the family rushes. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Slender Rush is native to Puerto Rico, Alaska, Canada, the contiguous United States, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Peru, Bolivia, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, United States, Honduras, Guatemala, Brazil, Paraná, Pampa, Minas Gerais, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, and Rio de Janeiro. It has simple, broad leaves and green flowers. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
