Lygodium japonicum (Japanese Climbing Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family climbing ferns. They are climbers. They are native to China, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Japan, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, New Zealand, North Korea, Vietnam, The Philippines, Bhutan, Indonesia, Australia, New Caledonia, Singapore, and Papua New Guinea. They have alternation of generations.
