Equisetum laevigatum (Smooth Horsetail) is a species of perennial herb in the family horsetails. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, North America, and Western North America. They have simple, photosynthetic stem leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 5 feet. They have alternation of generations.
