Podophyllum peltatum (Mayapple) is a species of perennial herb in the family Berberidaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, North America, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Flowers are visited by Two-spotted Bumblebee, Least Skipper, Xylocopa virginica virginica, and Ichneumon ambulatorius. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
