Foeniculum vulgare (Sweet Fennel) is a species of perennial herb in the family umbellifers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by cabbage butterfly, Philanthus gibbosus, Black and Yellow Mud Dauber, and Bumble Bees. Individuals can grow to 2 m.
