Ribes sanguineum (Red Flowering Currant) is a species of shrub in the family gooseberries. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Black Tail Bumble Bee, Criorhina nigripes, Sitka bumble bee, and Common carder bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 12 feet.
