Rhus ovata (Sugar Sumac) is a species of tree in the family Anacardiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Western North America. They have compound, broad leaves, white flowers, and drupes. Flowers are visited by Metaphidippus manni, Variegated Meadowhawk, Honey bee, and Phidippus phoenix. Individuals can grow to 7.9 m.
