Melia azedarach (Chinaberrytree) is a species of tree in the family Meliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Solomon Islands, New Guinea, India, and Afrotropics. They have compound, broad leaves, purple flowers, and drupe. Individuals can grow to 50 feet.
