Spigelia anthelmia (West Indian Pinkroot) is a species of tree in the family loganias. They are native to Bahia, Alagoas, Caatinga, Mato Grosso, U.S. Virgin Islands, RondôNia, SãO Paulo, Piauí, The Contiguous United States, Rio Grande Do Norte, Mato Grosso Do Sul, ParaíBa, Pantanal, Espirito Santo, Pernambuco, Roraima, Acre (Brazil), Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Pará, Amazônia, Puerto Rico, Ceará, Tocantins, Maranhao, and Cerrado. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Variegated Fritillary and Common Eastern Bumblebee.
