Description: New species for me! I had neglected to explore this park over the past two years, now I am grateful to find that there is still a place nearby where I can discover new species. This is a sizable park, for the DC Metro Area, and although certain sections are overgrown with invasive species, there is also a very nice wetland area and meadows which are maintained by preventing trees from taking over, which appear to be some of the most biodiverse grassland type habitat in the area. Description: Hmmm.. I've raised seed from various US seed merchants of A.rubra and purpurascens and they all look suspiciously like A.incarnata. I don't know how different the three species really are or if the seed merchants are pulling a fast one. I want to grow them all side-by-side in the border and see how different they really are.
