Marsypianthes chamaedrys (Ortela) is a species of annual herb in the family Lamiaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio de Janeiro, Amapá, Amazônia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Roraima, Espirito Santo, Paraíba, Tocantins, Alagoas, Bahia, Sergipe, Pernambuco, Piauí, São Paulo, Rondônia, Goiás, Maranhao, Ceará, Acre (Brazil), Paraná, Pantanal, Mato Grosso do Sul, Caatinga, Amazônia, Distrito Federal, Pará, Rio Grande do Sul, and Santa Catarina. Marsypianthes chamaedrys has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
