Ligustrum vulgare (Wild Privet) is a species of shrub in the family Oleaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to mediterranean region, Northern Africa, and Europe. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Scaeva pyrastri, hornet mimic hoverfly, Marsh Hoverfly, and Eristalis horticola. Individuals can grow to 12 feet.
