Acanthothamnus aphyllus (Schltr.) Standl.

Acanthothamnus aphyllus es la única especie del género monotípico Acanthotamnus, perteneciente a la familia de las celastráceas. Es originaria de México donde se encuentra en San Luis Potosí y Puebla.^[1]​

Taxonomía

Acanthothamnus aphyllus fue descrita por (Schltdl.) Standl. y publicado en Contributions from the United States National Herbarium 23(3): 684. 1923.^[2]​

Acanthothamnus, monotipski biljni rod iz porodice kurikovki. Jedina vrsta, A. aphyllus, raste po meksičkim državama Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí i Tamaulipas.

Iz vrste je prvi puta izdvojena nova vrsta alkaloida, akantotamin (acanthothamine), molekularne formule C₃₄H₄₃NO₁₆^[1]

Acanthothamnus – rodzaj roślin z rodziny dławiszowatych (Celastraceae). Jest to takson monotypowy obejmujący tylko gatunek Acanthothamnus aphyllus (Schltdl.) Standl. występujący w Meksyku^[3].
