Dark Leaved Saucer Berry

stuhlmannii: named after Franz Ernst Stuhlmann, one time Acting Governor of Tanganyika and an avid collector of plants.

Shrub or small tree. Branches angular with prominent leaf scars. Leaves lanceolate to oblanceolate, 3-12 cm long with scattered soft hairs on both surfaces, more densely below; margin finely toothed or crenate,; petiole with appressed hairs, grooved. Flowers in terminal heads, yellowish, densely hairy in the corolla throat, calyx and stalks covered in hairs. Fruit unknown.
