Enteromius atakorensis (Daget 1957)

Diagnosis: last simple dorsal-fin ray smooth on hind margin; scale formula 4.5-5.5/27-29/4.5; 2.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic-fin base; 12 scales around caudal peduncle; 7 branched dorsal fin rays; two pairs of short barbels; anterior barbel not reaching to anterior margin of eye; posterior barbel not extending beyond centre of eye/reaching to, or extending beyond, posterior half of eye; lateral line complete and slightly depressed below dorsal fin; maximum reported size 30 mm SL; no black spot on dorsal fin; more or less distinct dark band along middle of sides (Ref. 2940, 81282). Enteromius atakorensis is a species of cyprinid fish. It is endemic to West Africa, being found in Nigeria west to Ghana and Burkina Faso. It is a benthopelagic freshwater species that grows to 3.6 cm (1.4 in) standard length.
