Trichomonadidae

Trichomonad genera with three to five anteriorly directed free flagella and a recurrent one associated with an undulating membrane supported by a striated fibre, the costa; four subfamilies.

Trichomonadidae is a family of anaerobic protozoa. Many of its members are parasitic, causing disease in humans or domestic animals.
