Sambucus racemosa racemosa (Red Elderberry) is a subspecies of shrub in the family Adoxaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Alaska, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and drupes. Flowers are visited by Evodinus monticola. Individuals can grow to 18 feet.
