Diagnosis: Mouth subinferior; barbels absent; lateral line complete; 24-28 scales in lateral line; 12 circumpeduncular scales; no spots on sides; tip of dorsal fin black (Ref. 81639).Description: Medium-sized; pit-lines on head in lateral lines or bifurcated (Ref. 81639). No barbels (Ref. 122753). Dorsal fin with 3-4 unbranched and 7-8 branched rays; anal fin with 3 unbranched and 5 branched rays; pectoral fin with 16-17 rays; pelvic fin with 9-10 rays; dorsal fin border concave, last simple ray flexible, smooth, measuring 1.31 times head length or less (Ref. 81639). Scales with radial striae; 3.5 scales between lateral line and dorsal fin origin; 3.5 scales between lateral line and mid-belly; 2-2.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic fin insertion (Ref. 81639). Colouration: Ground colour silver grey dorsally, silvery on flanks and belly; scales bordered with dark margin; unpaired fins orange-yellow, anterior rays of dorsal fin black, anal and pelvic fins clear, first rays of pectoral fins slightly grey (Ref. 81639).
