They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Eastern North America, and United States. They have compound, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Eastern Phoebe, White-throated Sparrow, Mitoura gryneus, and Honey bee. Individuals can grow to 6.2 m.
