Magilus antiquus, common name the Magilus coral snail, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Muricidae, the murex snails or rock snails.[1]
The shell size varies between 20 mm and 150 mm
This species is found in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean along Aldabra, Madagascar, Mauritius and Tanzania and in the Pacific Ocean along New Zealand

Magilus antiquus Montfort, 1810 è un mollusco gasteropode appartenente alla famiglia Muricidae[1].
Proviene dal mar Rosso e dall'oceano Indiano, in particolare da Tanzania, Aldabra e Mauritius. È stato osservato anche in Nuova Zelanda[1].
È un parassita dei coralli, dove si scava una nicchia.
