Solanum viarum (Tropical Soda Apple) is a species of tree in the family nightshades. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to GoiáS, Distrito Federal, Pantanal, Paraná, West Indies, Bahia, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Mato Grosso, RondôNia, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Pampa, AmazôNia, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, Acre (Brazil), and Honduras. They have simple, broad leaves and berry. Flowers are visited by Augochloropsis. Individuals can grow to 0.3 m.
