Talinum fruticosum (Ceylon Spinach) is a species of tree in the family Talinaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Rio Grande do Norte, Caatinga, São Paulo, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, Pará, Bahia, Piauí, Pantanal, Mata Atlântica, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Goiás, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, Maranhao, Roraima, Amazônia, Paraíba, Cerrado, Sergipe, Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, Ceará, and Minas Gerais. Ceylon Spinach has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 4 m.
