Forficula auricularia (Common European Earwig) is a species of earwigs in the family common earwigs. They are native to Asia and the Palearctic. They visit flowers of rose, bright-bead cotoneaster, New Zealand fuchsia, and rose family. They are solitary, nocturnal omnivores. They have parental care (female provides care).
