Salvinia auriculata (Eared Watermoss) is a species of annual herb in the family floating ferns. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Maranhao, Roraima, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, Pará, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Tocantins, Rio Grande Do Norte, Cerrado, ParaíBa, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Amapá, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraná, Distrito Federal, SãO Paulo, Pantanal, Ceará, Pernambuco, Piauí, and Rio De Janeiro. They have simple, broad leaves. They have alternation of generations.
