Stachytarpheta cayennensis (Cayenne Porterweed) is a species of shrub in the family Verbenaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pantanal, Tocantins, Amapá, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Sergipe, Rio Grande Do Sul, Caatinga, RondôNia, Amazônia, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pará, Santa Catarina, GoiáS, Mata Atlântica, Acre (Brazil), Rio De Janeiro, SãO Paulo, Ceará, Espirito Santo, Maranhao, Bahia, Paraná, Mato Grosso Do Sul, and Pampa. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Horace's Duskywing, Thorybes dorantes, Long-tailed Skipper, and Zebra Longwing. Individuals can grow to 2.1 m.
