Phyllanthus is a genus of tree in the family Phyllanthaceae. They are native to Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, US Minor Outlying Islands, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Hawaii, China, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by chalcidid wasps, Bigheaded ant, Cheloninae, and Sphecodes rudiusculus. Individuals can grow to 4.4 m.
