Epictia goudotii

Epictia goudotii, or the black blind snake, is a species of snake in the family Leptotyphlopidae. The species is endemic to Middle America.[2][3]

Etymology

The specific name, goudotii, is in honor of French naturalist Justin-Marie Goudot.[4]

Geographic range

In Central America, E. goudotii is found in Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico (Oaxaca), Nicaragua, and Panama.[1]

In South America, it is found in western Colombia, Venezuela,[5] and on associated islands.[1]
