Cichorium intybus (Chicory) is a species of biennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves, blue flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by American Hover Fly, small white, Anthaxia hungarica, and Toxomerus geminatus. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
