Occurs in lowland mainstreams, marshlands and floodplains (Ref. 58784). Known from midwater to bottom levels of large rivers. Adults are common in the Great Lake and are seen sporadically downstream. Juveniles may be found as far downstream as the upper tidal zone of the Mekong delta in Viet Nam (Ref. 12693). Young individuals occur in October in the lower Mekong basin (Ref. 12975). Adults are sold fresh in markets around the Great Lake, or are cleaned and sliced in half by a single sagittal cut in preparation for salting and drying (Ref. 12693).

Hàbitat

És un peix bentopelàgic i de clima tropical.[5]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a Àsia: Borneo i conques dels rius Mekong, Chao Phraya i Mae Khlong.[5][9] [10] [6][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]

Ús comercial

Els exemplars adults són venuts frescos i consumits a nivell local.[18]

Albulichthys albuloides is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van karpers (Cyprinidae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1855 door Bleeker.

De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2011.[1]

分布

北梭短吻魚分布於亞洲湄公河湄南河婆羅洲

外型

北梭短吻魚具脂眼瞼,最後的單一背鰭鰭條有小齒狀突,口小且端位,側線鱗片32至35枚,背鰭軟條11至12枚;臀鰭軟條8枚,體長可達30公分。

習性

北梭短吻魚棲息在沼澤區,氾濫區或低地河流,屬雜食性,可做為食用魚。
