Prognathodes guezei, or Gueze's butterflyfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a butterflyfish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. It is found in the Western Indian Ocean, from Réunion Island, and Mauritius to the Comoros Islands. This species reaches a length of 11.0 cm (4.3 in).[2]
The fish is named in honor of marine biologist Paul Guézé, who collected the holotype specimen and helped collect even more paratype specimens.[3]

Prognathodes guezei is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van koraalvlinders (Chaetodontidae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1976 door Maugé & Bauchot.
De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als Onzeker, beoordelingsjaar 2009.[1]

本魚體側扁，吻突出且長，體略呈三角形，體白色，背鰭的側邊上有二條寬的黑色橫帶； 頭部有一黑色直條紋從背鰭第一棘起通過眼睛並延伸至吻部。體長可達11公分。
本魚棲息於約水深80公尺的水域。
可做為觀賞魚，但較少見。
