Trichiurus lepturus (Atlantic Cutlassfish) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family cutlassfishes. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are carnivores. Individuals can grow to 234 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is iteroparous and oviparous.
