Protomyctophum parallelum és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.

Morfologia

• Els mascles poden assolir 5 cm de longitud total.^[4][5]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu fins als 2.500 m de fondària.^[4]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a tots els oceans de l'hemisferi sud.^{[4][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]}

Protomyctophum parallelum is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van lantaarnvissen (Myctophidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1905 door Lönnberg.

大眼原燈籠魚（学名：Protomyctophum parallelum）为輻鰭魚綱燈籠魚目灯笼鱼科的其中一種。分布于南半球亞熱帶至南極的海域，為深海魚類，棲息深度可達2500公尺，體長可達5公分。
