Diaphus thiollierei, the Thiolliere's lanternfish, is a species of lanternfish found in the Indo-Pacific.^[1]

Size

This species reaches a length of 10.0 cm (3.9 in).^[2]

Etymology

The fish is named in honor of Victor Joseph de l’Isle Thiollière (1801–1859), a French civil engineer, geologist and paleoichthyologist, who reported on the fishes collected by French priest and biologist Xavier Montrouzier (1820–1897) from the Woodlark Archipelago in Papua, New Guinea in 1857^[3]

Diaphus thiollierei is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van lantaarnvissen (Myctophidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1934 door Fowler.

西氏眶灯鱼（学名：Diaphus thiollierei）为輻鰭魚綱燈籠魚目灯笼鱼科的其中一種，分布於印度太平洋海域，屬深海魚類，體長可達10公分。
